The status screen seems to be a bit unreliable at the moment, and I believe this is due to bad network coverage at the location of the server. I will look into installing an exterior antenna on the phone; in the meantime, do not trust the status page too much and ideally just send yourself a message if you want to check that are working correctly.

Important: I am now getting worried about the increase in costs of sending to some networks as charged by my service providers. Some of the providers have put up their prices by 100% in the last month, and until recently I have been hoping to bear that increase by averaging it out with the lower costs on other networks. However this situation is becoming rather difficult to maintain and vgsmail is now running at a slight loss: clearly it would be silly for me to continue in this way. Therefore I am going to be forced to make a few changes to the cost of sending messages, and inevitably this will involve a small increase. There are two structures I could follow: either a global increase (to about 4p per message), or an increase effecting only some networks (all UK networks except Orange, for example).
