The SMS-to-email interface now supports aliases, which makes it particularly easy to send emails while you are out and about. For example, if you have an alias called 'mum' set up with the correct email address, you can send off a quick email to her by sending your SMS to +447791892547 with (for example) the text 'mum Don't forget to do my ironing!'. To send an email to someone without an alias, just use the full email address: 'someone@hotmail.com Hello, who are you?'.
